Mamebaco Coffee
Practiced keigo (formal Japanese), the art of coffee brewing, and nuances of Japanese hospitality.

Integrating into a fully Japanese speaking environment with little formal Japanese when I first joined was challenging. Through practice, I memorized the right way to serve customers, how to pour exactly 130 grams of milk in one ago, how to pour expresso, and the importance of efficiency and keeping a clean workspace. It took me 3 weeks for my tencho (manager) to give me the green light to serve drip coffee to our customers. I have learnt so much through this and I'm glad I stepped out of my comfort zone. And on that note I present to you our signature dripped Honduras, pistachio panna cotta latte, and homemade Japanese pudding:)

IB History: Asia and Oceania
"Kanak is a wonderful teacher. Her teaching style is engaging and very easy to follow. She also created various resources to teach me IB history which was all extremely helpful. Not only that, she is extremely passionate about the topic she teaches, especially China in the 1900s. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and committed tutor."

French
"Last year, I was being taught French by Kanak, and it was an amazing experience. She was not only knowledgeable but also encouraging, kind, and patient even when I didn't understand or was confused. Her lessons were fun and easy to understand, and she made sure I understood the topic before moving on. She took the time to explain difficult grammar and vocabulary in a way that made sense to me. Thanks to her, I became more confident in speaking, writing and reading French. I’m really grateful for all the effort she put into helping me learn the language. She truly made a big difference in my learning journey."
